The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge. Managed by the College Board, the exam transitioned to a fully digital format in 2024. It tests your skills in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics through a multistage adaptive platform. The exam lasts approximately 2 hours and 14 minutes and is scored on a scale of 400–1600. Taking the SAT is a critical step for students aiming to attend universities in the United States, as well as many prestigious institutions worldwide.
To register for the SAT, students must create a free College Board account. The process is entirely online and takes approximately 30 minutes. We recommend registering at least 2 months in advance to secure your preferred test date and location, as seats at popular centers fill up quickly.
Create an Account Visit the official College Board website and sign up for a student account.
Complete Student Profile Provide your full legal name (matching your photo ID), birthdate, and high school details.
Choose Test Date & Center Select from the available 2026 dates (March, May, June, August, October, November, or December) and find a nearby authorized test center.
Upload Photo Upload a clear, passport-style digital photo for identification purposes.
Payment Pay the registration fee ($68 base + international regional fees where applicable) via credit card or PayPal.
