Overview
NEET 2026 is conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, and regional languages. The exam is a 3-hour 20-minute paper-based test. Each correct answer earns 4 marks, while a wrong answer results in a penalty of 1 mark (-1). The competition remains high, with over 2 million students expected to appear for seats in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and BSMS programs.
Registration
Registration for NEET 2026 is an entirely online process through the official NTA NEET portal. Candidates must ensure they have all digital documents ready before starting.
Online Application: Form filling through neet.nta.nic.in only.
Document Upload: Require scanned passport photo, signature, left & right-hand thumb impressions, and Class 10/12 certificates.
Fee Payment: Approx. INR 1700 for General, INR 1600 for EWS/OBC, and INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD.
City Selection: Candidates can choose up to 4 preferred cities for their exam center.
Correction Window: A one-time window is usually provided to edit specific details after the deadline.
